Matt Borchard’s 32 career shutouts are a school record and ranks 22nd in NCAA history. He ranks third in school history with 41 wins. His streak of 987:21 consecutive shutout minutes from Sept.6 to Oct. 7, 2005 is tenth longest on the Division III individual list.
His 16 shutouts were the most of any goalkeeper in 2005 and still ninth in DIII history. His 16 wins in 2005 ranked third nationally. As a senior in 2005, he posted 16 solo shutouts, tied for fifth most in NCAA Division III history.
The team made it to the NCAA Quarterfinals and finished with a 17-4-4 mark. The team finished the year ranked No. 15. Borchard was First Team All-Northeast Region and All SUNYAC in 2005. He was Honorble-Mention All SUNYAC in 2003. He finished his career with a 41- 18-9 mark. He earned his degree in history in 2006
