Eric Preston was a member of Fredonia's back-to-back SUNYAC champion teams which advanced to the NCAA Division III Frozen Four. His freshman year in 1993-94 coincided with the program's winningest season -- 29-1-4 and a third-place finish in the nation. He was named SUNYAC Rookie of the Year. He was also an integral part of the 1994-95 team which lost to Middlebury, 1-0, in the national championship game. He was a 1996-97 SUNYAC Second Team selection, was twice chosen to the SUNYAC All-Tournament Team, and played in the 1997 Division III Senior All-Star Game. At the time of his induction, he was second in career goals (89) and power-play goals (41), and third in career points (194) and assists (105). He also was tied for No. 2 with 12-game winning goals in his career and was No. 6 with 198 penalty minutes. His name also appeared on several single-season Top 10 lists.
