The I-90 Cup was established in 2015 between the Fredonia State and Penn State Behrend baseball teams. The two non-conference rivals are located roughly 40 miles apart, both campuses just off Interstate 90. Fredonia State head coach, Matt Palisin was teammates with Penn State Behrend head coach Paul Benim at the American Legion level and college level. They also coached together at Penn State Behrend. The Cup was established to create bragging rights and stays with the team that won the most recent game of the series of the nearby D3 rivals.
