A two-time All American, Lou Paganello anchored the men's track and field team with four years of outstanding performances in throwing events. During his illustrious college career, he was a four-time state champion, a four-time SUNYAC champion, and one of the leaders on Fredonia State teams that won SUNYAC championships in 1978, 1979, 1980, and 1981. The holder of school records in the hammer (168' 8"), the shot put (52' outdoors; 50' 9 1/2" indoors), and the 35-poind weight throw (52' 4 1/2"), Mr. Paganello was named men's track & field MVP and was honored as the Fredonia State Male Senior Athlete of the Year, the Joseph Keyser Award, in 1981. He majored in Business Administration and was a senior sales representative for Azerty Inc. at the time of his induction in 1991.
