FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Jakiera Stackhouse and Martin Garza were named this week's Fredonia State Female and Male Athletes of the Week for their performances in a trio of SUNYAC basketball games last week. 

Stackhouse averaged 9.3 ppg and 10.3 rebounds per contest as the Devils went 2-1 with victories over Morrisville and Oneonta. For the season, she is second in the SUNYAC with 9.8 rebounds per contest.

Garza continued to provide steady point production, averaging 21.3 points in three games. He nailed 10 threes, had nine assists, and three steals. He currently ranks first in the SUNYAC with 36 three pointers, and is third with 16.9 ppg. 

Other Notables:
Grace Alexander - averaged 13.7 ppg, nailed eight threes, and had 11 rebounds in three games for the women's basketball team.
Jayssa Snelick - averaged 12.3 ppg and 6.0 rebounds per game, and had five three pointers, seven steals and three assists in three games. Snelick is one of four Devils averaging double digits in scoring (Stackhouse, Alexander, and Payton Gilbert).
