FREDONIA, N.Y. -- A three-pointer from Fredonia's Brian Kopp tied the game with 32 seconds remaining, but a clutch free throw from Oneonta's Cam LaClair gave the Red Dragons a 69-68 win on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Devils fall to 1-13 and 1-6 in the conference, and the Red Dragons move to 8-6 and 6-1 in the SUNYAC.

Martin Garza finished with a game-high 24 points and led the Devils with six rebounds, and Stevie Williams had 12 points. 

Late in the game, Oneonta led 68-59 with four-and-a-half minutes left to play. The Devils clutched up and went on a 9-0 run over the next four minutes to tie the game at 68.

LaClair stepped to the line with 13 seconds remaining, and made the first of two free throws. The Devils rebounded but could not convert a final attempt. LaClair led Oneonta with 18 points and nine rebounds, and Nicholas Cortez added 16 points.

Oneonta shot 50 percent from the floor, including 8-17 (47 percent) from three-point range. They outrebounded Fredonia State, 31-24. The Devils hit 47 percent from the field and 5-16 from long range. Garza had four of the three pointers. The Devils also caused 13 turnovers, while committing eight. 

The Devils are back in action in Dods Hall on Tuesday for the third game of their six-game homestand when they take on Cortland in a women's/men's doubleheader.
