FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Kyto Magee scored the game's only goal in a 1-0 win in the men's soccer team's SUNYAC-opening win over Plattsburgh on Saturday. He helped improve the team's record to 4-1-3.

Molly Cassidy reached the 1,000-assist plateau as the volleyball team went 1-3 for the week and are 3-9 overall. Amilcar Centeno finished 92nd in a field of 162 runners at the Yellow Jacket Invitational. Her time of 25:48.9 was a personal best.

Other notables:
- Kudos to the men's soccer defensive back line of Jackson Kuby, Kye Castelluccio, Ryan Ameis and Dylan McAfee, who, along with goalie Thomas McDonald, shut out Plattsburgh. They all played the full 90 minutes.
- Donnilynn Sheldon of the volleyball team was named All Tournament at Buffalo State.
