NAZARETH, N.Y -- A goal put by
Ryan Ameis in the 38th minute gave the Fredonia State men's soccer team a 1-0 lead. They would hold that lead until the final 44 seconds of the game when Nazareth's Samuel Burton scored to tie the game at 1-all. It was the second-straight tie for the Blue Devils.
Ameis would use an assist from
Oliver Spinola to get his first goal of the season.
On Burton's goal, Alexander Kobayashi assisted.
Fredonia State's
Jack Phelan and Naz's Bryan Tirado finished with identical numbers, with seven saves and one goal allowed. Overall, Nazareth held a 14-13 edge in shots.
Nazareth stands at 2-1-2, while the Devils mark is now 3-1-3.
Saturday marks the first SUNYAC game of the year as the Devils take on Plattsburgh at 1 p.m.
