FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Mieley Baran of the women's lacrosse team and Morgan Zientara of the baseball team have been selected as this week's Fredonia State Female and male Athletes of the Week.

Baran had five goals on eight shots in a pair of games this past week, including a pair of free-position goals and two ground balls. She had a career-high four goals against New Paltz, eclipsing her previous personal best of three scores.

Morgan Zientara took the mound on Thursday and never left. He tossed a complete-game, four hitter as the Devils took down Oswego in their first SUNYAC game of the season. Thi right hander struck out two and walked one, while giving up two earned runs in a 5-3 victory.

Sydney Buchko: four goals, one assist in two games.
Ashleigh Manns: ties career-high with 14 saves vs. New Paltz.
Cole Schraufstetter: .714 batting average (5-7), one walk, three HBP, .818 on-base percentage.
Christian Pagano: .429 (3-7), one walk, .500 on-base percentage.
