FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State baseball team earned a pair of postseason honors as senior pitcher
Morgan Zientara (Niagara Falls, N.Y. / Niagara Falls H.S.) and junior first baseman
Andrew Tucker (Getzville, N.Y. / Williamsville North H.S.) were both named to the All-SUNYAC Second Team following the 2026 season.
"Extremely proud of both Morgan and Andrew," Head Coach
Frank Jagoda III said. "Not only on the field, but off the field as well, as team captains."
Zientara anchored the Blue Devil pitching staff throughout the spring, making nine starts and leading the team with 46.2 innings pitched and 42 strikeouts. The senior posted a 4.82 ERA while holding opposing hitters to a .294 batting average. "Morgan was a true warrior and took the ball whenever asked," Jagoda said. "As you can see, he's scattered all over the career and single season record books."
Tucker was one of Fredonia State's top offensive producers, starting all 31 games at first base. The junior hit .283 with 30 hits, including a team-high nine doubles and three home runs, while driving in 21 runs. Tucker added a .453 slugging percentage and .379 on-base percentage during the campaign. Defensively, he finished the season with 225 putouts and a .987 fielding percentage. "Andrew was a model of consistency with his play and his demeanor," Jagoda said. "A well deserved honor for both and they are at the ground level of moving this program forward".
