FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State sophomore Kendall Phillips was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All Region Second Team. The sophomore's first season with the Blue Devils was a smashing success. She was named the SUNYAC Pitcher of the Year and First Team All Conference. She was one of five SUNYAC players recognized on the Division III/Region III squad.

Phillips ranked nationally in two categories. Her final 1.18 ERA ranked 13th in Division III. Her 9.2 strikeouts per game ranked eighth. She fanned 117 batters in 89 1/3 innings. She had an 8-6 record with 10 complete games and five shutouts.

Phillips helped lead the Blue Devils to a No. 4 seed in the 10-team conference.
