CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's track & field team wrapped up the first day of the SUNYAC outdoor track & field championships at Cortland on Friday evening. The Devils sit tied for second place with PSU-Behrend with 16 points out of eight scoring teams. The Oneonta Red Dragons are atop of the list with a score of 18 points.
Junior
Cara Pellechia placed first in the pole vault and broke her previous school record with a vault of 3.65m. Freshmen
Skylar French also placed third in the vault earning six points with a vault of 3.05m.
In the 100m hurdles, freshmen
Allison Bartoszek placed eighth with a time of 17.07 which was a season best. Freshmen
Hazel Bache also had a personal best in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:13.34 which was good for eighth place.
