FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Both the Fredonia State women's and men's soccer teams have earned SUNYAC Tournament berths and will take to the field on Saturday, Nov. 1st. The women play host to Oswego at University Stadium at 2 p.m. The men's head to Plattsburgh for a 2 p.m. road game.

The two teams just met in the regular-season finale where the Devils claimed a come-from-behind, 2-1 win. The Devils played host to Buffalo State in the opening round of SUNYAC play last year, winning 2-0. Oswego also had a home SUNYAC Tournament game last year, dropping a 1-0 contest to Oneonta. Fredonia State gets to the conference tournament for the first time since 2016 when they played host to Plattsburgh. After a 0-0, double-overtime tie, Fredonia State won in a shootout. Sam Greco scored the decisive goal in the sixth shootout round. They are coached by
P.J. Gondek, who has been at the helm of the team since 2000. Plattsburgh's season ended last year after a first-round shootout loss to New Paltz.
