BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's soccer team played Buffalo State to a scoreless draw Wednesday evening in SUNYAC action at Coyer Field. By securing a point in the Battle by the Lake matchup, the Blue Devils ensured themselves a SUNYAC Tournament home game.
Fredonia State goalkeeper Thomas McDonald earned his seventh shutout of the season. The Devils held a 9-7 advantage in shots and generated six corner kicks while limiting the Bengals to three shots on goal.
At the end of SUNYAC play Wednesday -- and ahead of the final match day Saturday -- Fredonia State holds the five-seed in the SUNYAC. The Blue Devils will host Cobleskill on Saturday at 1 p.m.
