FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Juniors
Kylie O'Brien and
Thomas McDonald were named the Fredonia State Female and Male Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
O'Brien had a huge match in the volleyball team's only game this past week. Against the Bengals of Buffalo State, she had 17 kills and a .536 hitting percentage in a 3-0 win.
For the men's soccer team,
Thomas McDonald had 16 saves in a 1-0 loss to Oneonta on Saturday. He had six more saves in a 2-1 loss to Buffalo State, with one of the scores coming on a penalty kick.
Other noatables:
- Landon Stanley of the men's swim team won the 50- and 100-yard freestyles at Pitt-Bradford on Saturday.
- Izzy Kleinmann won the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly for the women's swim team.
- Gabby Irwin had a goal and two assists in a 4-2 win over Oneonta for the women's soccer team.
- Bronwyn Madden scored her eighth goal of the season in the same game. She is tied for the SUNYAC lead in that category.

Liam Booth scored to tie the games 1-1 at Buffalo State on Wednesday. It was his first goal of the season.
