BOXSCORE 2 FLORIDA --
Garrett Stuckey's base hit in the bottom of the eighth inning gave the Fredonia State baseball team a walk-off, 13-12 win over Ramapo in Game 1 on Saturday. The Devils fell 15-6 in Game 2.
Game 1
In addition to his big hit, Stuckey went 3-4 with two RBI.
Mario Williams also had a big day, ripping a homerum and a double while going 4-5 at the plate, driving in six runs. Other offensive standouts were
Brady Ventura, going 3-4 with four runs scored, and
Alex Gannon who went 2-4 with a double, three runs scored, and two RBI.
Morgan Zientara picked up the win, throwing the final two innings.
Game 2
Ramapo came out swinging, scoring 12 runs over the first three innings. The Devils were held to four hits, with Ventura going 2-2 with a walk. Ventura finished the doubleheader 5-6 at the plate.
The Devils were the beneficiary of nine walks by the Ramapo pitching staff.
