FREDONIA, N.Y. --  The Fredonia State softball team opens its season on Saturday in Central Florida. The Blue Devils have 12 games acorss six doubleheaders scheduled for the eight-day trip. The Devils will rely on the leadership of its four seniors -- Marisa Sultana, Victoria Pauwels, Emily Chelius, and Amanda Eastman. They return 11 other players that saw them finish 9-9 in the always-competitive SUNYAC, earning them a playoff berth. Head coach Tony Ciccarello also added seven new faces to the roster.

The Devils flew out Friday morning and open up against Rowan and Western New England beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday in Kissimmee. The balance of their games will be played in Clermont, Fl. at Hancock Park.
