BOXSCORE DAVENPORT, FLA. -- Starting pitcher
Kenny Jaroszek allowed just one hit in five innings of work as the Fredonia State baseball team won 10-4 vs. Minnesota-Morris on Wednesday.
Ryan Hann followed him in relief, going three innings, allowing two runs, one earned, and
Derrick Walters worked a 1-2-3 ninth to close the game.
Jaroszek retired the first 12 batters he faced before a leadoff walk to start the fifth. Another walk and an error led to the only run he would allow. After the first inning, the game was delayed and hour before Jaroszek was sent back out.
Offensively, freshman
John Aivaliotis collected three hits, and
Johnny Genau and
Tylor Murphy each had two hits. Murphy and Kenny Benitez drove in a pair of runs, and
Tyler Phillips scored three times and stole a pair of bases.
The Devils improve to 8-3 heading into an off day. They take on St. Lawrence in a double header on Friday.
