ALFRED, N.Y. -- Fredonia State men's soccer fell 3–0 at Alfred on Tuesday night, conceding once in the first half and twice more after the break. The Blue Devils generated steady pressure throughout the match but were unable to turn their chances into shots on goal.
Alfred took a 1–0 lead in the 26th minute on a finish from Jesus De La Torre, then doubled the margin just before halftime when Hamza Kromah scored in the 43rd. Fredonia pushed forward early in the second half, earning corners and creating blocked attempts, but Alfred remained efficient in the attacking third.
De La Torre added his second goal of the night to make it 3–0, completing a two‑goal performance for the Saxons. Fredonia's defensive group held Alfred to limited looks, including a save from Joseph Roeper in the 55th minute, but the Blue Devils couldn't break through at the other end.
Fredonia moves to 0–2–1 and returns home for the Blue Devil Classic this Friday and Saturday at University Stadium.
