GENESEO, N.Y. — Fredonia men's soccer opened its 2026 season Tuesday night with a 3–1 loss at SUNY Geneseo. Senior forward Carson Teijeria provided the Blue Devils' lone goal, converting a penalty kick in the 63rd minute to cut the deficit to 3–1.
Geneseo struck twice in the first half — the opener at 7:31 and a team goal at 19:34 — before adding a third in the 57th minute. Teijeria's finish came after a foul in the box, marking his first goal of the season.
Goalkeeper Joseph Roeper made six saves, including four in the opening half to keep Fredonia within reach. Sam Evans added one shot on goal as the Blue Devils totaled four shots and one corner kick.
