ALLIANCE, OH -- The Fredonia State women's track and field team closed out the Mount Union Last Chance Meet with strong showings from
Casey Fetzner and
Cara Pellechia.
Fetzner delivered one of the top performances in program history in the discus, posting a personal best throw of 39.44 meters. The mark broke the Fredonia State freshman school record in the event and moved her into second place all time in program history. Junior Mia Pierce of Duquesne won the event with a mark of 49.52m.
Pellechia broke the program outdoor record in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.65 meters while Freshmen Emily Cardinale cleared 3.20m.Youngstown State senior Ainsley Hamsher went on on to win the event with a mark of 4.12m.
