ALFRED, N.Y. --
Carson Teijeira scored in the 78th minute as the Fredonia State men's soccer team tied at Alfred State, 1-1, on Saturday afternoon. Alfred State struck early, scoring in the ninth minute, in an evenly matched game.
The Devils held a 4-3 edge in shots on goal and a 6-2 advantage on corner kicks. ASU had an 11-5 edge in shots.Â
Thomas McDonald played 49 minutes in goal and gave up one score without a save.
Jack Phelan finished the game making two saves.
The Devils improve to 3-1-2, while Alfred State stands at 3-0-2.
Next up is a Tuesday trip to Nazareth.
