PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State hockey team had leads of 1-0, 2-1, and 3-2 before giving up a pair of third-period goals, falling to Plattsburgh, 4-3, on Saturday and were eliminated from the SUNYAC post-season.
With the Devils up 3-2, Plattsburgh scored 10:33 into the third period to tie the game, then got the game winner 23 seconds later. Blake Hall and Taylor Ramm scored the respective goals for the Cardinals.
The two teams traded goals in the first and second periods. Fredonia State's
Sam Chrenka opened the scoring before Kevin Weaver-Vitale tied the game for the Cardinals.
Gavin Bloder put the Devils up 2-1 midway through the second period. Ramm scored his first of two goals on the evening with 38 seconds left in the second.
In the third, Fredonia State went back up on Bloder's second goal of the game, this one a power play. The Cardinals then rallied again with the tying and game-winning goals by Hall and Ramm.

Jameson Kaine made 37 saves in goal.
Plattsburgh (13-10-1/7-6 SUNYAC) clinched a SUNYAC playoff berth. Jacob Herne had 37 saves.
The Devils (7-17/5-8 SUNYAC wrap up ther season next week at Buffalo State.
