ERIE, Penn. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team dropped its season opener, 94-67, at Penn State Behrend on Saturday.
Martin Garza led the team with 12 points and
Stevie Williams had 11 off the bench, along with three assists.
Ethan Sokolowski had a team-best six rebounds.
Jacob Dunkle -- one of five Lions to reach double digits -- led all scorers with 17 points.
Behrend would lead by 20 at the half, 49-29. They would outscore Fredonia State 45-38 in the second half.
Behrend outrebounded the Devils, 37-28, and shot 10-20 from three-point land. The Devils connected on five of 16 attempts.
Next up for the Devils is a home, non-conference women's/men's doubleheader on Wednesday vs. Hilbert College.
