BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's hockey team was not able to muster any offense until the closing minutes in a 5-1 SUNYAC loss to rival Buffalo State on Friday evening.
Hudson Cameron scored his second goal of the season and now leads the team with five points. His goal came with 2:49 left in the game. The Devils drop to 0-7-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the SUNYAC.
The Bengals got a hattrick from Vadim Kiriakov with two of the scores coming on power plays. Aaron Andrade and Michael Marquez added goals.
Charles-Anthony Barbeau was in goal for the Devils, making 22 saves. Ben Dardis had 25 stops for the Bengals.
The Devils were 0-2 on power plays, while Buff State converted twice on two opportunities.
The Bengals improve to 3-3-1 and 1-1-1 in the SUNYAC.
The Devils are off until Dec. 5th and 6th when they take on Plattsburgh and Skidmore in Steele Hall. This will mark the first time the Devils face Skidmore as a member of the SUNYAC.
