GENEVA, N.Y. -- Hamilton College scored the game's first eight points and would lead wire-to-wire, defeating the Fredonia State men's basketball team 92-56 on Friday. It was the first game of the Hobart Invitational Tournament.
Victor Robinson led the Devils with 13 points and eight rebounds.
Stevie Williams chipped in 12 points, and
Martin Garza had 10.
Brian Kopp dished out six assists.
Hamilton would go up 10 at the half, 45-35. They would catch fire in the second half outscoring the Devils, 47-21. For the game, they outrebounded Fredonia State, 45-35.
Hamilton (2-1) had three players score in double digits, led by 18 from Matthw Rideout.
The Devils (0-4) take on the US Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday in the consolation game of the Hobart Tournament. The Statesmen were 91-54 winners over USMMA in the first game of the day. Top off is slated for 3 p.m.
