BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A penalty in the top corner of the box resulted in a penalty kick for Buffalo State, which proved to be the difference in a 2-1 win over the Fredonia State men's soccer team on Wednesday.
In the 69th minute,
Brendan Adams was whistled for a penalty and Diego Rivera connected on the free kick.
Buffalo State got on the board first in the 27th minute. Lesedi Sekhobo connected on an assist from Rivera to make it a 1-0 game.
The Devils evened things when
Liam Booth scored in the 47th minute from
Sam Evans. It was Booth's first goal of the year.
Thomas McDonald made six saves in goal for the Devils. Carson Smith made three saves for the Bengals (11-1 / 4-0 SUNYAC).
The Devils (5-4-3 / 2-2 SUNYAC) play host to Onentoa on Saturday.
