FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's hockey team dropped Morrisville, 7-3, on Friday after putting up six goals on Tuesday's win over Buffalo State.
Gavin Bloder and
Jack Schlifke both scored twice.
Bloder opened the scoring with a goal three minutes into the game. The Mustangs would score twice before the end of the period, the second one coming on a power play.
Sudbrink tied the game 1:38 into the second period, before Morrisville regained the lead, 3-2, on a shorthanded score.
The Devils then went to work, scoring four more times before the end of the second period. Schlifke and
Garrison Gagnon both scored to give the Devils the 4-3 lead. Schlifke connected on a short handed score, and
Antoine St. Onge and Bloder closed out the period with goals to make it a 7-3 game.
Nolan Ring had three assists and
Owen Arnold had a pair of apples for the Blue Devils.
Jameson Kaine made 25 saves in goal, surrendering three scores.
The Devils improve to 5-3 in the SUNYAC, and 7-12 overall. Morrisville falls to 0-8 and 3-16 overall.
Fredonia State will take on Cortland 5 p.m. on Saturday.
