FREDONIA, N.Y. -- After losing to Oneonta by two points earlier this year, the Fredonia State men's basketball dropped another close one to the Red Dragons, 83-79, in overtime.
Malik Jemison led the Devils with 17 points and
Brandon Kulakowski had 14.
The biggest lead for either team in the first half was six points, when Oneonta went up 18-12 after a three pointer by Kobe Long. The Devils would tie the game at 20-all, and again at 22 before Oneonta took a 34-32 lead into the locker room.
Oneonta's biggest lead of the second half was nine points, 48-39. However, the Devils immediately went on a 10-0 run to take their first lead of the half, 49-48.
The Devils would eventually lead by 10 points, 68-58, after a three pointer by Kulakowski with 5:53 showing on the clock. Oneonta closed out the half outscoring the Devils 12-2 to tie the game at 70 and force overtime.
The Dragons outscored Fredonia State 13-9 in the overtime. They were led by Long's 23 points off the bench. Cam LaClair had 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Fredonia State takes on New Paltz at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
