MORRISVILLE, N.Y. -- Down 81-65 with three and a half minutes left to play, Fredonia State went on a 15-0 run to close out the game, falling one point short of an improbable comeback. A three pointer by
Keenan Roberts Jr. made it 81-80 with 34 seconds left. After a pair of missed free throws by the Mustangs, the Devils got off two shot attempts, but did not convert.
Brandon Kulakowski led the Devils with 16 points and
Lamar Lovelace had 15 and a team high of eight rebounds.
Tyrese Fuller added 12 points.
Morrisville was paced by Jalyn Moorhead with 29 points, one of four players to score in double digits.
Fredonia State returns home this weekend, taking on Oneonta on Friday and New Paltz on Saturday.
