NIAGARA FALLS, CANADA -- The Fredonia State men's hockey team came out victorious in a 6-1 win vs. the Chinese National team on Friday afternoon. The National Team has been training in Toronto and took on the Blue Devils as part of their preparation for the Asian Winter Games.
Fredonia State received two goals each from
Nolan Ring and
Riley See.
Peter Buerfent and
Ryan Bailey each scored once.
Ring got the Devils off and running with a pair of first-period goals just 27 seconds apart as the Devils took a 2-0 lead.
The Chinese team scored the first goal of the second period, and the Devils would answer with the next four goals to give the final score.
The Devils used all three goalies, with each serving one period.
Charles-Anthony Barbeau had eight saves,
Jameson Kaine had nine, and
Jake Williams had 14. Kaine gave up the lone score.
