CANTON, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's basketball team held a slim lead midway through the second half, but the host Canton Roos finished strong to claim the win. With the Devils clinging to a 52-48 lead with 9:15 left to play, Canton exploded for a 27-4 run to take a 19-point lead, 75-56, into the final minute of play.
Keenan Roberts Jr. led the Devils with 18 points, and
Martin Garza added 10.
Brandon Kulakowski had nine points and nine rebounds.
The first half was played evenly with Canton taking a 34-33 lead into the locker room.
Canton had five players in double digits, with Nate Cohen leading the way with 16. Eli Larson had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
The Devils head to Oswego for a 4 p.m. contest on Saturday.
