FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's basketball team dropped a 68-54 contest to Plattsburgh on Friday.
Jayssa Snelick led the Devils with 13 points.
The Devils came out grabbing the early advantage and held their biggest lead of the game of eight points, 21-13, a minute into in the second quarter.
Plattsburgh then went on an extended 24-7 run to close out their first half and open the second. They would lead by 12 points, 42-30. They used nine three pointers up to that point in the game to power their offense.
They outscored the Devils 25-12 and held a 58-40 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Plattsburgh was led by Imani Walcott with 18 points.
Fredonia State drops to 1-3 in the SUNYAC and 4-6 overall while Plattsburgh improves to 2-1 in the SUNYAC and 6-4 overall. The Devils take on Potsdam on Saturday in Dods Hall. Tip off is slated for 1 p.m.
