GROVE CITY. PA -- The Fredonia State volleyball team dropped its match to Grove City in three sets on Friday. The Devils fell 26-24, 25-18, and 25-22.Hannah Lombardi led the offense with seven kills, and the defense with three blocks. 

Erin Callahan had six kills and Kylie O'Brien had five. Sasha Zayatz led the defense wit nine digs. 

In the first match, the Devils scored four straight points to take a 24-22 lead. They could not get over the hump, though, as the Wolverines finished off the set with the final four points for the 26-24 win.

Leading 19-17, Grove City closed out a tight second set with six of the final seven points, taking it 25-18.

In the third set, the Devils led 19-18. Grove City scored the next four points and would edge out the Devils, 25-22, in the final set.

The Devils take on Westminster and Wooster on Saturday.
