FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's soccer team tied Nazareth, 2-2, in non-conference action Tuesday at University Stadium. The Devils would lead by two, but surrendered a pair of goals late in the second half.
The Devils scored the only goal of the first half.
Brian Taylor connected for his SUNYAC-leading seventh goal in the 29th minute. Taylor was recognized as the conference Male Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after scoring four goals over three games last week.
Liam Winters assisted.
The first half was relatively even, with
Thomas McDonald collecting two saves for the Devils, and Logan Menna with three for the Golden Flyers.

Huddy Kwiatkowski scored his first goal of the year ten minutes into the second half to take a 2-0 lead.
Freddie Butler slid to ball to Kwiatkowski after a corner kick, scoring from close range.
With 15:21 to play, Nazareth's Tommy Gillette halved the lead. Gillette collected a contested ball that was deflected back, and beat a diving McDonald to his left.
Just over five minutes later, Nazareth's Drew Gibson ripped a corner kick with his left foot and hooked it perfectly in front of the net, and Gibson Spetctor headed the ball in for game-tying goal.
McDonald finished with four saves, and Menna with five.
"Great response from the boys tonight after Saturday," said head coach PJ Gondek. "We had the lead but let it get away late. We need to fix that about us. Saturday it all begins with SUNYAC play at Plattsburgh."
Naz now stands at 3-1-1.
The Devils (4-3-2) open conference play this weekend at Plattsburgh.
