ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State softball team dropped a pair of games, both 10-2, at Oneonta on Friday. In Game 1, the Red Dragons scored five times in the fifth to end the game. They kept things rolling with a four-run first in Game 2.
Game 1
The Devils managed just four hits, and would get doubles from
Erin Cunningham and
Megan Guidry.
Emily Chelius took the loss, going four innings and giving up five runs.
Game 2
The Devils got five hits in the nightcap, two off the bat of
Allie Wandell, who finished the day going 3-6 with a stolen base.
Madison Lowe took the loss, going 2 1/3 innings. She gave up nine runs, but only two earned as the Devils committed five defensive miscues.
Fredonia State falls to 11-19 overall and 6-8 in the SUNYAC. They travel to New Paltz on Saturday.
