FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State softball team dropped a pair of games, 9-1 and 6-0, to St. John Fisher on Tuesday. The Cardinal pitching held the Devils to just three hits in the two games.
In Game 1, an
Erin Cunningham double scored
Allie Wandell in the fourth inning. Wandell had reached base on a one-out single.Â
Mack Celauro absorbed the loss, going 3.2 innings, giving up four runs.
Vanessa Galbraith tossed the final 2.1 innings giving up five runs, four earned.
In Game 2,
Alyssa Santiago broke up the no-hit bid with one out in the seventh for the Devils only safety.
Jordan Kanick took the loss, going 3.1 innings, giving up five runs, four earned and striking out three.
Madison Lowe threw the next 3.2 innings, and gave up one unearned run while fanning five batters.
Fisher improves to 18-4.
The Devils (8-14) host SUNYAC rivals Cortland and Oswego this Friday and Saturday.
