FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's lacrosse team suffered a loss to the Oswego State Lakers on Wednesday evening 20-5.

Audrey Brown each tallied one goal in the contest for the Devils.
Brown put Fredonia State on the board scoring the games first goal game in just over 12 seconds of play. The Oswego State Lakers, however, found their offensive stride throughout the first scoring 5 straight goals to end the quater up 5-1. After another Laker goal in the second, the Devils responded with two quick goals to close the gap to 6-3 with Sydeny Buchko finding Karlalus for the score and Burget scoring an unassisted goal. Oswego found the back of the net three more times to close the half up 9-3.
In the second half, Fredonia State would only score once with Kunisch scoring the first goal of the second half for the Devils. Oswego State scored its final goal with 2:05 left in regulation and eventually defeated the Devils 20-4.
Buchko finished the night with one assist and tied for a game high six draw controls. Buchko also led the team in caused turn overs and ground balls with two each. In goal,
Ashleigh Manns made 12 saves, while
Jessica Kowalski making one save for the Devils.
The Oswego State Lakers were led by Isabella Lembo who finished the game with eight goals. Kiara McKercher also finished with a game high four assists.
The Fredonia women's lacrosse team continue SUNYAC action as they hit the road Saturday, April, at 12:00 p.m., where they will face SUNY Oneonta.
