ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Cassidy Moore and Marissa Evans combined for 10 goals to propel the Oneonta Dragons to a 17-11 victory over the Fredonia State women's lacrosse team on Saturday afternoon. Fredonia State drops to 4-10 on the season while Oneonta improves to 4-8 overall.
Sydney Buchko paced the Devils offensively with eight points on five goals and three assists,
Megan Karalus finished the game with four points off of three goals and one assist.Â

Audrey Brown each contributed a goal as well.Â
To start the game, Oneonta scored seven straight goals in the first quater but Brown would find the back of the net for the Devils in the closing seconds of the first to trail 7-1. Fredonia State outscored the Dragons 4-2 in the second quater with the Devils scoring three straight goals with just under two minutes to go in the first half.  Oneonta closed out the half maintaining a 9-5 lead off of a late goal from from Moore.Â

Megan Karalus scored two quick goals to cut into the Dragon lead but both sides scored four goals and with one quater left in regulation the Dragons led 13-9. Oneonta closed out the contest scoring four of the final six goals to secure the 17-11 win.
The Devils forced the Dragons into 15 turnovers for the contest while registering 21 ground balls and 14 draws. In goal,Â
Ashleigh Manns  finished the day with 14 saves.Â
Fredonia State returns to home on next Saturday afternoon on April, 20th to host the Potsdam Bears at 12 p.m.Â
