MYRTLE BEACH -- The Fredonia State baseball team wrapped up it 2024 Spring Trip to Myrtle Beach with a 5-1 loss to St. Joe's of Long Island on Saturday. The Devils were held to seven hits -- two each by
Max Koller and
Ethan Behnke.
Dominec Hickok staked the Devils to a 1-0 lead when he drove in Behnke in the top of the second inning. From there, the offense would be held in check.
St. Joe's got a pair of runs in each of the second and third innings off starting pitcher
Peyton Ahlstrom to go up 4-1. Ahlstrom would suffer the loss, going four innings, striking out five and giving up four earned runs.
Owen Ludwig gave up one run in two innings of relief, and Nate Zicari pitched two hitless, scoreless frames.
St. Joe's improves to 5-7. The Devils fall to 4-6.
