BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's lacrosse team fell 17-5 at Brockport on Wednesday. Trailing 3-2, Brockport rattled off the next 10 goals to take control of the game.

In the early going, the Devils used scores from Emma Cockerel and Victoria Burget to keep it close. At the end of the first quarter Brockport held a 4-2 edge.

Megan Karalus, Sydney Buchko, and Audrey Brown accounted for the other Blue Devil goals. Buchko had two assists and Cockerel added another.

Buchko also led the team with three caused turnovers and two ground balls.

Ashleigh Manns made five saves in goal.

The Devils fall to 4-5 and 0-2 in the SUNYAC. They travel to Plattsburgh on Saturday.
