CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's lacrosse team fell 20-3 to Cortland in its SUNYAC Opener on Saturday. The Devils got goals from Leah Kunisch, Audrey Brown, and Sydney Buchko. Kunisch, a freshman, leads the Devils with 19 goals in eight games.

The Red Dragons got rolling early, scoring the first seven goals before Brown broke through with her 12th goal of the season. The Dragons would go on to build a 15-1 lead at the half.

Ashleigh Manns made seven saves in goal for the Devils, while Margaret Morgan and Trinity Parks combined for three saves for Cortland (3-4 / 1-0 SUNYAC).

The Devils (4-4 / 0-1 SUNYAC) head to Brockport on Wednesday.
