Charles-Anthony Barbeau made 32 saves in shutting out the Plattsburgh Cardinals, and
Luke Morris scored the game winner halfway through the first period as the Fredonia State hockey team won 2-0 on Friday.
Riley See added an empty netter in the final minute to seal the win.
The Devils did this as they celebrated the 30th anniversary on the team's appearance in the NCAA Championship game. Many alumni and dignitaries were in attendance, including NBA star Charles Barkley. Barkley had spoken to the Devils before the game.
Morris was assisted by defenseman
Garrison Gagnon. It was Morris' third goal of the season.
Barbeau turned away two power-play opportunities. Plattsburgh's Jacob Hearne made 21 saves and gave up only one goal.
Plattsburgh falls to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in the conference.
The Devils (4-8 / 2-3 SUNYAC) take on Potsdam at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
