FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia state volleyball team suffered a tough 3-0 loss to Buffalo State in a SUNYAC match up on Saturday afternoon in Dods Hall. Despite a valiant effort, the Devils fell short against the Bengals 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-14).
In the first set, Buffalo State held a 8-3Â advantage after a
Erin Callahan kill. The Bengals would coasted throughout the match scoring four straight points five separate times to take set one. Buffalo State jumped out to a 13-9 lead in the second and took the set 25-16. In the third set, the Bengals opened up a 4-0 start en route to a 25-14 win.
Kailea Sullivan & Callahan led the offense with six kills.
Maeve Musielak contributed five kills to the attack as well.

This loss brings Fredonia State's overall record to 9-14 and their SUNYAC record to 2-3. Fredonia State will return to Dods Hall on Friday, October, 25th at 6 p.m., when it hosts Cortland. Later this evening, the 2008 volleyball team that went went undefeated in conference play and moved on to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament will be inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame.Â
