CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State men's soccer team dropped a road SUNYAC contest, 4-0, at Cortland on Wednesday. The Devils were held to four shots on goal in the shutout.

Cortland (4-1-1 SUNYAC / 10-3-3) scored 7:33 into the game and again at the 20-minute mark to take the early 2-0 lead. The third score came 1:05 before the break as the Red Dragons closed the half up 3-0.

They would tack on scores in the 70th and 85th minutes. Matt Schultz had three goals. 

Jack Phelan played the first 70 minutes, making six saves. Thomas McDonald finished the game, making one save and giving up one goal. Jordan Ott made two saves for the Red Dragons. 

Cortland outshot the Devils, 34-5.

The Devils (1-5 SUNYAC / 6-8-2) play host to Potsdam on Saturday. It will be Senior Day for the Blue Devils.
