FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Oswego women's soccer team scored three-and-a-half minutes into the game, and would make the lead stand up in a 2-0 victory over Fredonia State on Saturday.
Katie Delgrosso used an assist from Lynnane Russell to give the Lakers a 1-0 lead. Russell would later score in the 57th minute unassisted.
Abby Szymkowiak made seven saves in goal for Fredonia State.
Gabby Irwin had two of the Devils' three shots on goal.
The Devils fall to 7-6 overall and 2-3 in the SUNYAC. Oswego ups its record to 7-5 and 3-2 in the conference.
The team is back home on Wednesday to play host to Cortland.
