GENESEO, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's basketball team mounted a comeback, but was done in by Geneseo when the Knights outscored the Devils 24-8 in the fourth quarter. The Devils had pulled to within six points after
Jaden Sciotti nailed a three to end the third quarter. Geneseo then scored the first 12 points of the fourth to gain control of the game.
Fredonia State was led by
Allie Wandell with 12 points.
Sarah Seaman added seven points off the bench.
Renee Park led the Devils with seven rebounds.
The Devils struggled from long range, shooting 4-24, and hit on 28 percent of thier shots overall. Geneseo shot 44 percent from the floor and 6-14 from three-point range.
Hannah Stockman led the Knights (8-4 / 3-2 SUNYAC) with 14 points and Kerry Dennin had 12 points and 12 rebounds.
The Devils (7-4 / 2-2 SUNYAC) head home this weekend. They take on New Paltz on Friday and Oneonta on Saturday in Dods Hall.
