BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- After the Fredonia State hockey team defeated Brockport 4-3 in overtime earlier this season, the Golden Eagles were able to come back and earn a 5-1 victory against the Devils on Tuesday. The game was played as a non-conference contest, and the two teams will meet later on this season for a third time in what will be a SUNYAC game.
Johnny Malandruccolo scored the Devils' lone goal, his third of the season. Assists came from from
Xavier Fortin and
Antoine St. Onge. The goal came midway through the third period on a power play with the Eagles leading 3-0 at the time.
Charles-Anthony Barbeau made 36 saves in net.
Connor Roach and Scott Ramaeakers each had two goals for Brockport. Conor Galloway had a goal and an assist. David Filak made 31 saves in net as Brockport improved its record to 6-9-2.
The Devils (3-10) take a trip to SUNY Canton this weekend. The play the Roos 7 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. on Saturday.
