ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's basketball team fell 51-37 at Oneonta on Friday evening. Renee Park led the Devils with 10 points, and Mary Culeton added nine points and 10 boards. Payton Gilbert also grabbed 10 rebounds.

The first quarter was slow going, as Oneonta built a 9-7 lead. The Devils scored the first bucket of the second quarter to tie the game, but Oneonta scored the next 11 to go up 20-9.

Midway through the third, the Devils cut the lead to five points after back-to-back buckets by Culeton and Park, cutting the Red Dragon lead to 28-23. That's as close as they would get as Oneonta slowly pulled away later in the game.

Oneonta (7-10 / 5-5 SUNYAC) received 17 points and nine rebounds from Amanda Zuntag.

The Devils (8-9 / 3-7 SUNYAC) head to New Paltz for a 2 p.m. tip off on Saturday.
