NEW PALTZ, N.Y. -- The Fredonia State women's basketball team fell 88-48 at New Paltz on Saturday. A pair of freshmen paced the offense for the Devils, with
Payton Gilbert scoring 11 points, and
Grace Alexander scoring 10.
New Paltz converted 53 percent of its shots from the floor, while the Devils hit 27 percent. New Paltz had a 36-31 edge in rebounds.
From beyond the arc, New Paltz shot a highly effective 10-21, while the Devils were 4-17.
The Devils are back in Dods Hall on Tuesday with a women's/men's doubleheader vs. Geneseo. Tip off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
